Turns out the advert was misleading ; it's a 92 car (not a 94 car).

I'm looking for a later car with all the upgrades.

I'll take my time to find a nice non-red Spider (or GTS).

Is there any way to know by chassis number or simply by looking if a car has the factory suspension upgrades?

I've found the one taken from 348.com but doesn't list anything by assembly numbers. Would be great to find out as it's such a commonly discussed topic.
    Thanks.

Like it. I'm a sucker for blue Ferraris anyway, and the red leather is definitely bold, but it works for me.

as far as i know the assembly numbers would allow one to identify the year of make...there isn't a list which has the range of assembly numbers corresponding with the year of make......but once you id the year of a specific car, use the list from 348.com for eg to know what updates the car has or hasn't........the most accurate way of finding out the month and year of make of a car (which is yours as proof of ownership is requested) is to contact Ferrari directly via email with the VIN of your car...that's what I did....

Hummmm, as much as I like the colour combo it seams to not all add up. I would move on. Lots of good cars out their. As Peter has said, the US cars have the model identified on the radio cover. Best of luck.

It will be a 1992 car that was imported and first registered into the UK in 1994 and so would have been issued a '94 registration plate - This happens a lot with cars imported into the UK years after they were manufactured.

Usually though, the adverts for these imported cars do openly declare that the car is on a later registration than the year of manufacture so as to avoid any confusion.

It appears that the seller of this 348 didn't bother declaring that information as they seem to be trying to convince people that this car is one of the later/last cars made .

As it stands, It's LHD, which is less popular in the UK, with 40K miles on the clock, in a colour combination that is going to have limited appeal in the UK, for sale for £40K - That to Me is @ £5K ~ £10K over-priced at the moment!
