I am trying to ascertain a paint code for Blu Turchese 23.132. This is for the restoration of a 1965 500 Superfast.

I have searched the forums and although there are references to this colour, there is no detailed information.

There is an insufficient amount of the original paint on the car to put a spectrometer on and noone (including Ferrari historians) are able to provide a code or a source for the paint. This is now proving to be rather problematic. I think it may have been made by Italver in Italy and I have found a paint company of that name and have e mailed them for information - but whether they will understand (or respond) only time will tell!

So, does anyone out there own a car with this specific colour. If so, do you know the code or a source for purchasing (I am in UK)? More in hope than expectation does anyone have a car of that colour AND access to a spectrometer?

I am also putting this post on the 'General' forum.

I have Blu Turchese listed as a Max Meyer (later PPG) color 1.298.7240. You might try looking for that.

I assume you talk about 500 Superfast #6673. The car sold new to Harry J. Hyams, RHD.
Two of the 500 Superfasts were originally painted Blu Turchese. The other was chassis #5951.
Yes, Blu Turchese 23132 A is a color by Italver. You might also want to ask PPG.
I have ten old color slides (transparencies) showing both of the aforementioned 500 Superfasts in their original color.

It is #6673. It is definitely 23132.

Can you give me contact details for PPG, please?

With a similar restoration issue, Rear Admiral Phillips found the original color underneath the switch bezels on the dashboard of his 500 Mondial. These were areas where the original paint was not affected by sunlight.
