Visited Algar Ferrari today while shooting some projects in the Philly area. They had a new "Blue America" F12 with red interior - not sure what shade on the interior. Sorry for the crappy iphone colors with this tough mixed lighting in the garage... But here are the photos. Nice blue. Gorgeous interior. But for some reason red interior doesn't quite go for me with blue exterior.
I would like to find the owner of that car and just throw money at him until he has enough to give it to me.
I was hoping I would like it more than I do. I think it is the interior that detracts although dark colours tend to hide the detail. Might look better out of the showroom with some sunlight.
man, i didnt think the f12 could look ugly. but this color combo does not do it for me. come on! blue with red? it looks like something from the '70's........ and, i just noticed, no shields? shouldve saved some money and bought a mercedes-benz... i hear they make a great product!?!? and DAYTONA seats??? oh man, back to the '60's now with a state of the art machine. regrettable. you guys know why they offer DAYTONA seats right? 'cause they dont have the nerve to fire the 80 year old women who stitch them!!!!!! they are pathetic looking and even worse to sit in.
You are right on the shields, missed that. This car really needs them and that is a first for me. Disagree on the Daytonas, I love them but not in these colours.
i guess if you're a shorter person the daytona's can work but they put you up an inch or two and just feel bulky under arse. i hate them! shields are a must on any ferrari.
Nearly 6'3 and I found the racing seats too low and uncomfortable and dealer also warned against them. Had Daytonas in my Cali and loved them, have them in my Spider and think the racing seats were better, did not like the racing seats in the F12, so hope I will love the Daytonas which with any luck are being stitched by one of those 80 year olds right now!
I liked the colors independently. I probably would have gone with a more tan colored interior, but I do think you can separate the inside and exterior experiences when driving and seeing your car. The blue was fairly dark with a hint of purple. I'm sure it would be very different in the sun. A 76ers basketball player had just pulled up in a similarly colored FF (pozzi blue) - I think with a tan interior. This new car may have been one he ordered as he commented on "looking forward to his F12". Maybe he wanted a different experience so all his cars felt different. Nice guy. There was also a new Rossa Berlinetta colored red F12 upstairs that was the owner's of the dealership. A more orange tinted red. Very good shade. Sorry no pics of that one. Best. Robb
to each their own... I love dark blue Ferraris with no shields. not crazy about the red interior but it's ok. I think it would look better without the black daytona inserts.
I will admit that there are many times I have seen Ferraris in pictures or even at the dealership and not liked them. Then you see them out "in the wild" and all of a sudden they look better, even great. Not saying I like this car or would ever order it, but pictures frequently don't do certain cars justice. Secondly, in regards to red/blue, there are several vintage multimillion dollar Ferraris out there that are combo of blue and red. Not saying I like them anymore than this one, but color combo is part of Ferrari's "design" history. I think one was featured in Cavallino or perhaps Forza in the past year. Best
I tend to disagree, Blue America is quite beautiful. Look at these outdoor pics (not mine, taken from a previous thread discussing the color). I think indoors and the interior seem to distract. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks stunning in that colour, once again its unfortunate that some in this thread need to pass nasty remarks.
Is everyone not entitled to an opinion? We don't all sycophantically have to drool at every scheme on every car and I don't believe anyone has been rude, just giving an opinion, some more forcefully than others. Also clearly the owner is not a member so he can hardly be upset!
Well you can discuss the language (which I find funny) but I fully agree with the content. F12 - No shields? Daytonas, really? Interior that might cause eye cancer??
Bordeaux with Nero Daytona stripes is certainly an unusual choice for an interior. Not sure I find it nearly as objectionable as some of you do. I think it'd be better without the deviating stitching on the dash/steering wheel and with Nero carpets.
There is some history with this sort of blue over red color combination as this Scuderia illustrates> (image courtesy of Napolis) CH Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just got my Autoweek issue today. Porsche Cayman sent for testing is dark metallic blue with full red leather interior. Best
It's the Bud Light Ferrari! Hey, if the owner likes it that way, it's fine with me. Everyone has their own idea on what is and isn't attractive. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
