    I just noticed yesterday that Blue Oyster Cult is headlining the Lincoln Avenue street fest on Sunday night in Lincoln Park!! I don't even know what the band's lineup is these days, but they're playing at 8pm. Just thought I'd pass that along. And just to get this obvious comment out of the way:

    "We need more cowbell!"

    Hey there, Jack. I suppose that one of the very few good things about Hard Rock and Heavy Metal not really being "In" right now, (that is, in the lame music mainstream....:() is that we can see some of the really great bands from our Youth-that we used to see at the big Arena's-at small venues now. Nice and up close and personal!

    I have seen some really great bands at the House of Blues the past few years. Would have loved to have gone to see B.O.C. at the small venue, but am incapacitated right now. But I remember seeing them at the mighty "Aragon Ballroom" back in the '70's. And for an encore, they'd all come out to the front of the stage, playing Guitars at the same time. Pretty cool!
