I like this grey one too. 115k Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks man. Check out the Prancing Kitty on the grill in that last one. I wonder what kind of discount I can get for it being an off-color................
Anybody for a project? They say it comes with a "rebuildable" title. I'd give them 10k if it had good compression and the gear box was still good. Those stock wheels were put on after the wreck. Musket balls are about all that 7.500.00 hood is good for. Looks like not too much of a parter to me. Momo and perhaps rear deck. Boy what a job. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The trick is to find another one that had an engine bay fire.................................I take that back. The frame is hammered under the drivers seat. The roof is gone too and the drivers door won't shut. Must have pole-vaulted the thing. Sad. Looks like another gearbox/diff is available for all those exploding ones out there. It's on Fleabay. The bids are up to 8k. Redline Motors is hot on it. http://snipurl.com/10wv6
I'd sure like to have the momo and tranny. Be fun to do a winter project ohauling that beast. Perhaps a year project would be more like it.
Sheehan has a triple black 512M for sale. Is this a local car? The ad text says "Recent (October 2005) engine-out cam belt service and new clutch assembly by Ferrari of Seattle" http://www.ferraris-online.com/pages/carintro.php?reqcardir=FE-F512M-101251
This rig had DJP written all over it Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Naw, too gloomy. A lighter color for me.. Wouldn't mind having the running gear though. I actually like the 512TR body style better, slot tail lights and NO PINWHEELS!!!
Here is an 89 TR with 31k miles yellow/black asking 57k in California listed on ferrariclassified.com/ in Medford,Or. Factor out their 5k load and and 52 isnt to bad. More than likely get it for 50k. There is also another yellow one listed there. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks great, I need to unload the 308 first and I'm there. It probably doesn't help that I just went out and bought another BMW.
I didn't find it on their site but looking at others I am just AMAZED that the odometers on most of them STOP AT 22,000 MILES OR LESS. GIMME A BREAK!!! As listed on Ferrariclassified IN ORDER, 22k 14k 34k 22k 13k 12k 11,800k 16,600k 22k 23,400k 25,700k 1k 7,900k 2,500k 26k 26k 18k 16k 22k 5,500k 4,600k 22k I gave up after this. Go to Autotrader, same thing. WOW! So many low mileage TR's out there one shouldn't have ANY maintenance costs at all!!! Judging by this trend and with only 7700 built (or so) most should be virtually NEW!!!
I suppose if ran my 308 another 5 years I could sell it as a 15,000 mile car. I could get a good printing program and just make up my own documentation, spill some coffee on a couple, let my Parrots chew on a few and run a few through the dryer just to make them look convincing. The maintenance book for mine hasn't been stamped in 20 years so I could probably fill in a few blanks there too, just to make the mileage match up..
I could live with that.................................why don't you snag that one for me and I'll swing by this spring to pick it up.
When did Ferrari make a Targa top version of any Testarossa model? Is that done by someone in the aftermarket, or is it a kit car?
Aftermarket conversions were done by a number of different companies and some independent/private conersions as well. I think Stramann was the most trusted and common conversion. All it takes is money and decent engineering. If the chassis isn't strengthened and crossbraced properly it is good only as a display piece. If you have to cut one it would be better as a spider with head rests sand roll bars similar to a 360. The Factory built ONE TR spider as a design excersise. #62897 This one. As you can see, too much FLAT deck. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
