Am considering installing an aftermarket bluetooth phone adapter in 2005 430 coupe. How well can you hear the person you are talking to and how well can they hear you over the sweet sound of the 430 factory exhaust?

I have a Parrott and it works quite well. The problem is the other party hearing you at speed.

I have the factory bluetooth in my bose system and it;s 'ok' at best. I usually just choose to hold the iphone(shameless plug) in my hand rather than speak through the bluetooth. With windows up, it's bearable for both you and the person on other end but still not a fan of it. The best decision is to ignore all calls when driving a F430 lol.

I have the BT option in my 07 430 and while it is just ok, I would recommend its better than holding a phone to you ear. I also agree a WOT its useless but a more normal operating modes its ok.
