Its now illegal to use a hand held cell phone while driving in Maryland. I don't have any knowledge about bluetooth(where did that name come from?). So I'm looking to the incredible reservoir of knowledge that is F'chat for recommendations. My wife and I both use Iphones if it makes a difference.

    Thanks in advance.

You can start your search here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296917&highlight=bluetooth

There are a number of other threads on the topic as well.

    As for the name:

"The word Bluetooth is an anglicised version of Danish/Swedish Blåtand, the epithet of the tenth-century king Harald I of Denmark and parts of Norway who united dissonant Danish tribes into a single kingdom. The implication is that Bluetooth does the same with communications protocols, uniting them into one universal standard.[2][3][4]
The Bluetooth logo is a bind rune merging the Younger Futhark runes (Hagall) (ᚼ) and (Bjarkan) (ᛒ), Harald's initials."

I don't think the question was "what is bluetooth" - it was "where did that name
    come from?"

The above is the Wikipedia answer.

Actually, I intended to ask for product/brand recommendations with the name question as an aside. So much for my language skills!
The thread quote was helpful. Thanks for that. I suck at search.
