BMC Carbon Air box or filter for 355?

Hey all,

I am looking to upgrade the air boxes on my '99 355. Can't spring for the GruppeB carbon fiber unit right now, so, I was wondering which would be a better route to go.

The BMC 'drop in' air filters (129-03 - $110 per filter) using the stock airboxes?

or

The BMC carbon fiber dynamic airboxes (CDA85-150 - $276 per side)?

Do you guys know of a place with better pricing than direct from BMC?

I searched the archives and found some good info on the BMC, but, no definitive 'which is better' info.
