    I'll tell you a secret.

A few weeks after buying the MV Agusta I lost interest in buying motorcycles. There was nothing more desirable (IMO) and still is not. It was over.

I did the same thing with high grade shotguns and rifles as well, bought the best there was (IMO) and lost interest.

Once I get a 330 GTC I'll not buy another (high end) car.

    The fun is the pursuit.

Yes it is. But the good thing about Ferrari, is there are a lot of stepping stones to get to the top and Jim isn't selling...

I certainly understand that, and I think Judge basically summed up what I was going to say.

Like I say, as long as you are having fun, that is all that matters. :)

I like the pursuit too, but I guess different people have different levels of threshold tolerance. :)

Have fun Doc, hope you find the right car for you.

The BMW 507 doesn't have the performance of other sports cars of the 1950s like a Jaguar XKSS.

Funny, I had just posted (on z8 board) about a sighting last week in Mendocino during a rally. beautiful car and very evocative of the z8(or vice versa). I had heard mid 150's. Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me and the driver/ presumed owner, was a all puffed up on himself anyway. Very full of himself and not like most of the friendly exotic owners you often meet.

They had one in the 70's. You are thinking of the corvette.
