The cats should be covered under the 8yr-80,000 mile federal emissions warranty. If I was going to keep this thing I'd definately go with some aftermarket cats. The problem I have with getting rid of this car and buying another car is nothing out there really flips my switch for a daily runner. I really don't care what I drive to my office. I'd rather spend my money on my weekend toys. I wish we had the FIAT 500 here, that would be fun especially if it were the Abarth.

IDK... I have an M3 and it is great!

X5 is a joke... I would think that was pretty obvious?

I have had many positive posts and even helped out a few of my fellow F-Chatters. Didn't know that you were keeping tabs Zak it’s good to know. I'm sure that once this weather clears and I am driving my car that things will look up. Life for me is great right now and I really shouldn't be complaining, but I know that it isn't the case for everybody.

I don't like the shape at the back. I'd go X5.

I have only seen 2 X6's around here since they have been out. Not your everyday car.

    LOL!

Yeah......."Rare"...I guess thats car language for "Big Flop".

I have seen a handful of X6's on the road in the past year. I have also seen very few 6 series coupes as well, maybe a handful of M6's and m6 Convertibles. I think the X6 SUV and the 6 Series coupes were big dissapointments for BMW, they never took off as well as expected.

My mate had an X5, no problems. Now has an M6 Cabrio. Sounds awesome (V10) and performs very well. Very good buying experience as well from what he has said.

Always sad to hear people having bad experiences of car ownership. Particularly here as we are all enthusists.

The m3 is one of the best cars i've driven and to this day I won't trade it in for another car... It's true the maintenance on the m3 are a bit expensive, and if you drive it aggressive you will need a tire every year, but that's what the cars built for !

The M3 is a whole second quicker zero to sixty, and almost on par with a Ferrari 360 in the quarter mile.

Are you sure you had the BMW in gear???

Is that the CSL version? It looks great :) My M3 is faster than my Ferrari was... and seems to gather about the same amount of attention (mostly from car nuts).

Looks like a a reguler E46 M3 with CSL goodies considering we never received the CSL in North America. Perhaps Vorstiener ? Although it does have the CF roof... Either way the car is gorgeous! Most likely exactly how I would have mine, except with BBS LM's! :)

The car I posted is a normal M3 with original CSL goodies. I personally think the E46 M3 is one of the most beautiful vehicles of this decade, not to mention it's a complete joy to drive. And good call on the LM's.

The Seden is available here already, ive seen a far amount of them on the road thus far! the E90/E92 M3 have nothing on the E46 M3 but I do still like the car.

I miss my 850, it was built like a tank.

I find that quality control varies depending on where the models are made. M cars 5, 6, 7s are made in Germany. 3s Xs are made in eastern Europe and the US.

How about BMW tuner AC Schnitzer, they make some pretty good cars. I have seen the new M3 with AC Schnitzer moding, sounded amazing and was very fast however, it kept scraping the road when it went over a pothole or bump. Here is what the AC Schnitzer M3 looks like.

That is an utter abomination. AC Schnitzer has done some good work before but this is one of there failed attempts.
