    Anyone have any first hand experience with the 1978-81 BMW M1? I looked at a couple when I was visiting an exotic dealership in Florida and liked what I saw. They are supposed to be very good drivers. Any opinions?

    I driven a couple and impressed with handling and power. Plus was thinking of purchasing one last year. Of course they are rare with about 400 manufactured. Pretty easy to get parts. Visibility in rear is a challenge, but not show stopper. Dollar for dollar if going BMW, the Z8 may be the way to go.
