Just saw a post by Lamborghini Dallas about Boardwalk Auto Group having well... I'll copy and paste... "Who is coming to the 1st Annual Boardwalk Auto Group Auto Show? It's This Sunday at Boardwalk Audi from Noon to Four" Anyone going? Is this a replacement for the previous years' Boardwalk Spring Concorso at Boardwalk Ferrari/Maserati?
wasn't really promoted on the Ferrari side I could tell. wasn't promoted on FerrariChat, FCA, but I think I saw an email and on Boardwalk Ferrari website.
I spoke with Mr. Benjamin from Boardwalk a few weeks ago and he mentioned this, haven't heard much about it, don't worry though, the Spring Concourso should be some time in April.
Glad to hear that. I was going to be bummed about missing the Boardwalk event if Concorso wasn't going to happen. I will be knocking back a few beers with granddad on his birthday on Sunday. Cant wait to see pics from the show.
Did anyone make it out to this? I stopped by at 3:10pm, the Porsche side gates were open (Audi side was locked up), drove around the Porsche building in the parking lot, but saw no cars or people. Heading back out, a guy was about to lock up the gates (with me in side). I asked about the show, he said it was already over and that everyone kinda left early due to the overcast weather. I asked how the turnout was, he claimed there were "a lot of people & cars". Eh...I found that a little hard to believe considering such an early exit and for the whole crowd to be totally gone, start to finish, within 3 hours. Anyone go & get and pictures?
It seems the weather really put a damper on the event. There were not very many cars during the time I was there. On a side note, a brand new 911 on the lot had water damage inside and a brand new Cayman had a nasty dent in the side. Ouch....
I stopped by around 3 and saw a Cayenne GTS, yellow vette, and I think 2 mazdas. I didn't bother trying to get inside the gates as it was definitely over. Weather wasn't that bad
I got there about 1pm in the Ferrari 550. There were about 25 individual cars and 10 dealer cars. Jack Gs 356 speadster took the well deserved peoples choice. Everyone was gone by 2:30. There was a 458, GT3, 2 lambos, a couple of alfas and lots of porsches.
I will post up info on the spring show as soon as I get proofs. It's still happening and so is the fall show
Here are some of the photos I took at the show today.
