My boat hangs in my boathouse 24/7/365. It has a cover, but the cover only goes over the beltline of the boat, leaving most of the side of the boat exposed to the sun. To make it worse, the boat essentially is parked East/West so the Southern sun shines on the port side all day, every day. The hull is white with red accents, and the red is actually in the gelcoat. The red is horribly oxidized. I've tried to buff it out with only marginal success, I'd like to get it back to "red". Does anybody have a product or process they'd suggest? Nothing I've tried works very well.

1 pic with the cover on showing how much is left exposed, one pic cover off showing a bit of the 'red' I'm trying to restore.

Meguirs has various polishes for boats. Try #45 and/or #49 and try them. Use random obital so you dont burn through gelcoat. That is what I use, then wax. Or hire someone as it is truly hard work....I know...Ive done my 42 Navigator.7

Fine wet sanding will save a lot of electricity and elbow grease

Red is the worst color for fading on boat gelcoats. Red is even worse than black. Only way to remove the oxidation is to wet sand it and follow up with a polish. You can look back at the "Show my boat" thread and you'll see I had a black, red-bottom hull. Thats how I know. IIRC it costs about $1700 to do my entire hull and deck. The white deck was yellowed by the sun. The body shop brought the hull back to a factory new look. It was incredible.
