I waited a few days to say this. Bob Hoover didn't pass away, he crossed the bar. Honors or not Mr. Hoover is a member of the RCAF Snowbirds. As such he is respected member of my Armed Forces Family. I hate it when you people say they'll carry on with Veterans. I meet the veterans and introduce them and give them my full name. At the end of the conversation I say oh by the way, you know my grand mother was in London in 1944. Thank you Sir. I found war veterans and veterans Like Mr. Hoover like hearing appreciation for the other side of the Armed Forces side. The side of the silent unknowns. If we followed Mr Hoovers life example he'll never pass away. I had a very bad cut last night. An elderly woman was seated across from me. She casually mentioned she hasn't seen a doctor in hours and the nurses just walk by. I got up said excuse me and went to the least busy looking head nurse and asked her the women needed some attention. The nurse took the elderly alone women up to see the doctor or got her bed. This is what veterans want. I'm glad I saw Mr. Hoover perform. Wish Id met him. One our snowbirds like him, we we don't leave their families alone. We help regardless of age! I'm proud my family has served. My Grand Father was on HMC MTB 463 in 1944. He crossed the bar in 1970. An his family still protect All know. Both in war and at home.......... I think Mr. Hoover would approve this post. The Armed Forces the Family all of us always take care of each other. We help and they all respect us for it. Hence when we do fight they know their family's will always be taken care of
