My buddy snapped the camera phone pic of a 308 he saw at a shop here in St. Louis. I thought it looked decent in the pic, but he said it looked pretty crappy in real life. Anyone know what it is?

IMO, I'm not hating it .... but, I don't know - hard to improve the original design, huh? If I had one w/o any mods already, this could be interesting .... but still, not sure .... not liking those seats though 4 sure.

Nothing some quality time with a Milwaukee 4" grinder wouldn't fix........there's a real car under there somewhere!!!

Of course for a 1980 injected 2V car, you'll have to make the decision........but yanking the motor at the same time, for 1975 - 1977 engine swap you'd be home.......:D

In the future a Koenig 308 will be the rarest 308 on earth. While the styling brings out a range of emotions, there is no denying what it is. Koenig was a very respected tuner who's work ran across a range of themes, and these arent Fiero kits or any kind of junk like that, in fact some of the work he did was astonishing. I recall a R&T article on the Koenig Testarossa, a supercharged and turbo intercooled supercar with more than 800 HP, massive low end power and torque, massive brakes, massive wheels and tires, a top speed in excess of 220 mph, and bodywork changes that made the TR look downright wicked while retaining its pedigree. So wicked Ferrari requested he remove all nameplates from the car and make no reference to Ferrari. It was in fact no longer a Ferrari, but was a Koenig TR. So you could actually say that this is not a Ferrari 308, but is in fact a Koenig 308. Sort of like a Shelby, but from better breeding.

They are a part of history, and should be kept as such in my opinion. If you want a 308, buy one. But this car chould be left as it is and bought by someone who will appreciate it and preserve it. Just sayin.

Thats our car. The pic in the first post was taken at GLB when we had the car looked at by them. It's overall a nice car but not perfect. If your looking for a cheap Koenig Ferrari though, it's perfect.

Aside from the cosmetics, what are the technical specs of the engine mods?

Do you have dyno sheets or anything?

As you see, you have pretty knowledgable buyers here.......

We don't think anything has been done to the engine as far as performance mods. The car was sitting in Texas for some time. We think since the mid 90's. We have all the reciepts and records up until 1993. Then nothing. The car could use a full service, we're not going to tell you it dosen't. Its not perfect. When it was at GLB where the picture was taken in the first post we were having them replace an ignition coil, new wires, plugs and adjust the injectors because it wouldn't run. We have the car running and driving now.

Is it a great driving Ferrari that needs nothing? No. But it does run and drive now and would be a great, rare car for someone who loves these Koenig Ferrari's and has a little bit of money to throw at it to bring it back to where it should be. I've been on this board and have been around Ferrari's for a long time now and know how they are and how they need to be maintained. I'm not going to sugarcoat things for you guys on here. Thats how we sell cars and always will.

Let me know if you guys have any more questions regarding this car or any of ours.

    Dan
