So I'm wondering, are there any manufacturers of body parts (wider fenders, flares, lips, spoilers, etc) for the 308 QV? I just want to see/know what's available for these cars. Thanks in advance for feedback
It's not so much that I'm going to put something on, but rather just curious as to what's available for the car. I was browsing ebay and saw a front lip as well as a full 288 make over kit. They both look pretty good too!
Ahhh, not true Doc. Nick Forza has one: http://www.nicksforzaferrari.com/forzaferrariwebsite1_065.htm
It is interesting what kind of breath a re-bodied vintage Ferrari is taken in while a newer re-bodied F-car is held with a completely different regard..... Not saying one side is right or wrong.
That looks great, but why advertise go-power you don't have? Just by a mustang or vette if go you want to go stoplight racing,
Veleno, Some of the more "accepted" mods to our 308's appear to be aftermarket Euro type front spoilers, and aftermarket pipes. Lots of guys will say aftermarket wheels, but I have only seen a VERY few that look good, but that is just IMHO. Hey, once you get it though, it is your car. You can paint purple polkadots on it and put on 33 inch rims if you want ---just don't come over to my house to show it to me or I might laugh at you because I am so happy someone else has trashed a 308, and now there is but another one fewer of the 308's left that will be desired in the future MB
The only problem is that they always look just a little bit off. That whole wheelbase thing really stands out to me now....I used to think it would be very cool though...but as I have paid more attention it just throws the proportions off to my eye. PDG
Doesn't look bad in pix. I'd have to see one in person to make a final call. I like the whole ersatz GTO thing...it brings out the old hotrodder in me. However, for the body/interior mods and engine mods to back up the looks, $100K sounds about right. For those kind of bucks, I'd sell the QV and take my pick of Boxers. Problem solved.
