I am looking for a quality source for body work to repair a couple of bumps/scrapes on my 355. I would have done a search if I could figure out how to search just a region, so don't lambast me Doody or kill any kittens! I am on the Cape but am happy to travel a reasonable distance around Boston if possible. Thanks for any help.

Dude what kind of "search" did you actually do? :)

Note for those that may not have noticed, there is a link on the top right (in the header row for the threads) of the each forum "Search this Forum". Click that in this forum, type "body shop" and lo, let there be light! Note there is also a "Search this thread" in the same place when you're in a thread.

No kittens were harmed to bring you this information.

Maybe because I use a Mac, the "search this forum" isn't in the upper right side. But..........in the advanced search function, there it is. I hope no one is staying up late to search this out for me!!!!!!:) Thanks Dan for the help. Let all the kittens go.

Mike's Auto Body in Malden. Top level craftsman - mainly Porsche stuff but also does all of Turner Motorsports race cars.

I'll jump in with agreement; I can't recommend anyone more highly than Mike Noonan at Mike's Autobody in Malden.

He's VERY active in the PCA, and has done work for almost everyone in the region, and the BMW CCA as well. I'd say the top Porsche bodyshop around (and voted Best of Boston in Boston Magazine in the past).

Mike is a good friend of mine, and has, among other things, done everything from a frame-off repaint (change of color) on a 275 GTB to fixing little fender benders on Accords. He also does the bodywork for Turner Motorsports (MAJOR sports car winning race team), as well as usually having a handful of DE/race cars in the shop at any given time. He did wonderful work on my 355 street car, and is the guy responsible for the gorgeous (and reasonably priced) entire-redo of my Challenge.

He's in Malden, at the intersection of Rt. 99 and 60. 781 324-9831.

Ask to speak to Mike directly, he'll take care of you.

Alternatively, I can recommend Roberto Donati, who is a great guy and focuses exclusively on high-end resto-type Ferrari work.

    Vty,

    --Dennis
