    Greetings,

I was referrred here by another Ferrari owner. I have a 355 that was
scratched by my mechanic and want to see what body shop in the
area can fix this or the mechanic is saying is can be wet sanded-don't
know what this means- but the paint is all original and hate to have it painted. Any advice is much appreciated

First, if you are not a member of the Ferrari Club of America - Kansas City Chapter - why not? Let me know if you would like to get involved.

As for your question, try Louisburg Auto Body in Louisburg, KS. Its a drive I realize, but well worth it in the opinion of all who have used them. Give Rosso Motorsport a call and they will give some other names perhaps. But that is who they use.

If your mechanic scratched it, why isn't he paying for it?

I would be more than happy to take a look at the damage to see
if we can fix it without paintwork. We can digitally measure the
paint thickness and the severity of the scratch and determine
if it can be resoved without fresh paint. Please reach me at
Rosso Motorsports 913.681.2220. Worse case is we can refer you
to the only bodyshop in KC that should do any work on Ferraris
Out of curiousity what color is the 355 and where is the scratch located?

Thank you for everyone's help and advice. the car is black on black and the scratch is on the rear right side panel next to the engine. The car has never had any paint or body work. Yes, depending on the price of repair the service shop is paying for it or it will go through their insurance. I will call you and see when I could bring it by the shop to see what we need to do. Are you open on Saturdays? Maybe I could get some info on the Ferrari club at that
    time as well
