Yes, unfortunatley it finally happed. Hit and run on my 328 this weekend while parked at a restaurant. Luckily some nice person was able to catch the license plate. (I was wondering why more that the usual amount of folks were checking out the car). Very minor crunch just below the driver side rear side marker light, still hurts though. Anyway, sure could use a reference to a high end body shop that deals with Ferraris near the Syracuse New York area. Obviously willing to travel a bit to get the job done right.

I can't give a specific recommendation, but I bet there are a couple of good shops that specialize in restoring old cars around 'Cuse. Don't take it to an insurance oriented shop, as they will Bondo it up. You want a shop that knows how to work metal. If it is minor, they can straighten it out, match the paint, and blend it so you will never know it was hit. I have found that shops that know how to do old cars, hot rods, are pretty good at that.

Thats awful. There is a shop here in Connecticut that does excellent work and have been doing restoration work on Ferraris for many years. The name of the shop is F-40 Motorsports (Carini Carrozzeria Restoration) and they will transport the vehicle from Syracuse. I know the gentleman you need to speak to, Wayne Carini, is not in this week and should return in the middle of next week. Additionally, he may be able to refer you to someone in your area that he knows, to do the work for you. I provided the link with is info below.

    Hope this helps.

Wide World of Cars is located in Spring Valley, NY (not far from the Tappan Zee Bridge). Not exactly near Syracuse, but within reason. I have used them for service on my 360, haven't needed any bodywork thankfully. In the dealership directory that came with my car, they are listed as one of the factory certified aluminum repair shops. I know they do paint work there because my friend who owns a 430 had them respray his front bumper. It might be worth a call at least. Justin Stewart is the service writer (845) 425-2600 x262. Best of luck with the repair.
