Bolt found in boot of F12 - any ideas where it's from?

    Found this in the boot of my F12 yesterday. Couldn't see an obvious place that its from (I don't carry anything else around in there) Any ideas - its metallic

    That is a bolt that locks the privacy panel up above. There are two of them.
    When you open your boot look up above there are two clips to remove the panel this is one of the bolts what locks it in place.

    Do not try to slide the bolts over to remove the panel without loosening the thumb bolts first, they will break and you will need to buy a replacement complete bolt. This had happened to mine when I bought it, the thumb bolt kept falling out as it would not lock in position as the thread was broken.

    Happened to mine and the dealer had to order a complete new cover in the same color and material (this was in 2014). Took months. He said that the bolt was unavailable to order without the full cover. Seemed excessive and wonder what he did with the other one.
