On the new to me 2004 360 I discover someone replaced the 6mm bolts and speed nuts just behind the front bumprer for the belly pan with J nuts for screws and sheet metal screws. I would like to put it back - is there anything special about what Ferrari used or will generic hardware be OK?

I have U clips (J nut?) and sheet metal screws where the bumper connects to the pan in my 360. I think that's stock. It's the same setup for the rear pan where it connects to the bumper.

What makes you think the factory didn't use sheet metal screws?

The generic hardware installed at the factory is generic until someone buys the used Ferrari and wants to make sure the screws are "Ferrari" screws.

I just looked at the parts diagrams and yes, the sheet metal screws in front are stock. Thank you for the feedback.

I would not call them sheet metal screws, they are 6mm Phillip head screw 6 x25mm long .

It looks like at some point in the life of my 2004 360 the front 6 mm Philips head threaded screws and speednuts were replaced with sheet metal philips head black screws and J clips to match.
