Does Jon Bovi own a 250 GTO ?

 

I have never heard his name being mention among the known owners..

In the article, they mention a "$48M GTO 64" but they put pictures of GTO 62 and GTO 64 - not sure they know what they're talking about...

 

He had a white 328 back in the day but this is the first I have heard of him having a GTO.

 

Come to think of it, I think I read an article in Guitar magazine, where he mentioned he wasn't much of a car guy.

 

Perhaps a Pontiac GTO, the rebadged Holden version..

 

48 M ? I thought I read somewhere that the high auction price for a GTO was around 26 M. I would not be surprised if that car pictured was up at 48 M . They always seem to go up in price . Thats a different solar system, when someone has the ability to spend that kind of $$$$.

Not only do they offer no evidence whatsoever that JBJ does or ever has owned one, the fawning write up is full of several glaring inaccuracies about the car.

Last time I’ll ever click on one of their clickbait links and have them earn a couple of pennies from me.

 

You may be looking at old numbers. In 2018, 4153GT sold in private sale for a reported $70 Million. These cars don’t come on the open market often, if ever, so selling prices reported are often based on insider leaks.

 

This non article is basically “Jon Bovi could possibly like this car.”

 

Exactly like another one a few weeks back where the headline was about “XXXX’s Ferrari” and went on to write about how “XXXX” was so cool back then, that if he ever owned a Ferrari it might have been one of these.

What a waste of brain cells to click on this crap.

He’s at least some level of a car guy - we both attended the Indy 500 doing the laps with Mario the day after the 500.. was a lot of fun. I didn’t talk to him or his wife - they were trying to stay incognito with the sunglasses and black hats in..
