    Hi folks,
Got an issue with a Ferrari 365/GT4 2+2 The bonnet struts were weak and allowed the bonnet to slam shut, now we cannot open the bonnet even with the emergency pull. Has anyone encountered this sort of issue before, Please only respond if you have encountered this problem as we have tried all options so far. Maybe one of the Ferrari bodyshops can recommend a procedure! Grateful for any sound advice.
    Regards
    Andreas.

On my 365 GTC/4..... had the right side cable break, which the emergency cable does not operate. After fishing around with bent coat-hanger, I managed to get the right side latch to pop and replaced the cable. Your car may be different.
Suggest you gently pull the left side up and try the release handle. if it pops free, then go to the right side and repeat.
I adjust the bumpers up enough to place some compression against the hood. I NEVER drop the hood to latch it. I set the hood down and gently push each corner where the latch is until the latch closes. It takes some fiddling to get the latch in this position.
Any changes made to one side will affect the other.... so it's trial and error to get them right.
PM me if you wish to talk about this. The latches are very difficult to reach from the underside of the car.

You can try ...1 person pulling the emergency pull and an other person pressing the hood down with force just above the latches.

This was my thoughts. Might need three people. One to pull release and one on each back corner of the hood pushing down or even rapidly pushing down and releasing pressure as the release is pulled.
