The boot light of my 550 98 is not working. Does anybody know how to access the lamp? The small lamp holder seems to be sealed from the front and I don't know how to reach the back. If it is not the lamp, where is the fuse located (if any) ? Thanks, Antonio
i had this problem - if you open the boot, in the boot lid take apart the lock, and you'll see a switch that is activated by a ball bearing that moves as the lid opens/closes.... i cleaned it up and it worked for me! Good Luck - it's only a 5 minute job.
Agreed, its the ball bearing switch, you should hear it roll/click as you open the hood. If not then its sticking due to dirt or gunge and general lack of use, Ron
