I'm looking for a new or rebuildable Citroen hydraulic pump for my Bora. Does anyone have one available or a lead or a source for one, other than MIE, who does have something in stock?

I have an extra pump from a Khamsin. It looks very similar to the Bora but the case is different and will not work on a Bora. Just a warning in case you get offered a pump and they do not know if it actually came from a Bora as it could have come from a Khamsin, Merak or Citroen SM.

Thanks for the information Ivan. I certainly don't want to end up with the wrong pump. Unfortunately DAve didn't have a pump available. I am waiting to hear from a company in England, Pleiades, which does a lot of repair work for Rolls and their hydraulics as well as Citroen. Wish me luck.

I bought a Citroen pump on Ebay a couple of years ago. I believe it came from a SM or a DS21, my notes say "5DS". The mounting flange was in the wrong place and the direction of rotation was opposite to the Bora but neither of these were a problem... the flange was either relocated or taken from the destroyed Bora pump and direction of rotation doesn't matter. The pump was cosmetically refurbished and has worked like a charm for several years.

I've been hunting for the name of the Citroen dismantler and usable pictures but haven't been able to find them. I'll post them if located. Meanwhile, good luck in your search.

I struck out with the people in England as well as in Australia. It looks like I am going to purchase from MIE which is not a problem but I was hoping to get something NOS. Fortunately, a pump properly rebuilt will work just fine. I'll keep looking anyway. I should say that the reason for the pump is for the second engine that I have been working on for a few years. We are getting closer to putting it all together and I want to build up a complete engine and not have to transfer parts from the original Bora engine to the second engine.

What are the specifications of the new engine? I remember there were a lot of plans and am curious to know what improvements and modifications are finding their way in?

As for engine number two, things are moving ahead steadily. Assembly of the engine will be gin in January. We have a bunch of equipment that have to be REM finished and cryogenic treated which will go out this month. In January, I will sit down and do a complete review of the long standing project to bring everything up to date. The original engine for my Bora should be on the dyno in January or February and I will give whatever data we have from it to the group as soon as we have finished the dyno work. I expect engine number two to be on the dyno in either February or March.
