I am attempting to isolate an error in Bank 2. All my sensors look to be running in good. Is it possible to swap Left and Right ECU's on a 599?

The answer is a bit complicated.

Here is what I had to do.
First- I used my K-Tag too to read the Processor, Flash and EEPROM from both ME7.3.2 ECU's.
Just as I presumed, the Processor and FLASH Memory were identical, but the EEPROM was in-fact DIFFERENT. If you were to attempt a straight ECU swap, you would have triggered the immobilizer.
Next, I programmed the EEPROM (LEFT to RIGHT and RIGHT to LEFT)
    The car fired right up.

But the error I was trying to isolate was still in BANK 2. So that rules out problems with my ECU's. The battle continues!!!

By the way-- I am trying to figure out why Trans ERROR P1019 will not clear. Something to do with Crank and Can angles, but the car is running tip top! WHY????

    Hello, louie23,

Is there a chance you still have the eeprom backups to share? I need them to make a comparsion between mine. A client's F430 locked the immobilisator, I'm trying to fix.

    Thanks in advance.

Louie- Most F1 system hard faults need an SD3 or equivalent to reset.

@ftrentini - Although the same ECU model, the F430 eeprom data will be very different from that of the 599 to the point of only confusing you more if compared to one another. I do have several F430 files I have read throughout the years. Give me more details about the car, and I will send you something that is closer to what you need.

@Terry - Yeah, thanks for the heads up. Been awhile since that happened. The SD3 was also unable to clear it. The only fix was replacing the TCU. Now its just sitting on my bookshelf til I get some time to open it up and check the insides.

Louie- Unless they have changed with 7.3.2, the TCU uses a fairly simple EEPROM that is easy to clear and reprogram with a copy from your new one, providing the hardware is not toast.

Eric355 has been producing new Challenge Stradale TCUs from matching hardware Ferrari and Maserati TCUs. I have a copy of the 575M HGTC EEPROM Eric made for me. Not too complicated.
