    my 80 308 si fans run all the time when key is on. going to check relays and the left fan has #014113 and right has 015006. are these the right relays. before i go to the next position to check i figured just to make sure these are right. thanks

    No, they should both be ...113, but an ...006 can almost always work OK in place of a ...113 (but not the other way around) so that's not your problem.

    Do you have another ...006 in the group? There should be only one, and it's used for the exterior lights.

    Same recent problem with my 328.

    Check the radiator thermostat by disconnecting the wires. If they still run then check this thread : http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=213594

    As it turned out the issue was at the connector on the relay board. Probably worn with age.

    that is the only 006 the rest are 113's and two 101's. by the way earlier you said i'd be meeting fletch62 and you were right but i went by his place to drop off the fuel distributor and wur. great guy really knows his stuff

    Do you have a copy of the 186/80 OM for the 1980 US version 308i? It shows the proper positions for the relays. If someone had switched the positions of a ...006 and a ...113, I think you'd have some weirdness with the external lights (like all the exterior light would flash rather than just the front lights when you pull back on the stalk -- but don't quote me on that as I didn't check the schematic).

    Yes, Larry F. is really the source for K/KE-Jet component rebuilding -- he's the one who actually does the work for many F dealers.

    My fan relay for the left side died and fan wouldn't come on. In a pinch i found a replacement (china) at advance auto parts that's worked fine for 3 months now.
