What time does it start?
There have been a couple of meet points for the west and southern areas established for the ride to this event. We have cars coming up from the Rhode Island area as well as metro west coming down Rt24 South and down Rt495 South. The West Group Start: Departing 8:15 a.m. Leave the Burger King Rest Stop on 24 South after exit 15 Route 104. If you're coming up 24 North, just get off exit 15, take a left and go back Route 24 South and stop at the Rest Stop. This group will go down 24 South exit 14, then 495 exit 6 Middleboro, take a right and stop at the Friendly's on the rotary. The address for this Friendly's is 40 Bedford St, Middlebor MA 02346. After 8:30 a.m. Depart. Go East on Route 44 ( affectionately known as the Hochimen Trail). Take the Exit to Route 58 South. Then left on South Meadow Road. 2.7 miles turn into Plymouth Municipal Airport on Right. Address: 246 S Meadow Rd, Plymouth MA 02360 From the rotary it should take 22 minutes to get to the airport, so there won't be any rush. This will be a very casual drive. The State Police are aware of this event and there is a barracks near the Rt44 rotary in Middleboro. The rotary has Friendly's, Gas Station, Dunkin Doughnuts, Burger King down Route 28 and just about everything else you could need. Weather will be utterly fantastic for this Sunday's event.
Thanks for the help Kenny!!! I got word of something VERY special coming down from Vermont... A concourse quality vehicle
Cars & Copters Guest Of Honor: Ricky Hoffman's Fight Against Cancer Is Inspiring. Read About His Battle Here: http://rickyhoffmanmedicaljourney.blogspot.com/ It makes me proud that all of the work putting this show together will help kids like Ricky fight the good fight against this terrible disease.
Considering the late season nature, great weather and amazing publicity, is this show ready to handle a lot more than 500 cars??? My bet is that a huge range of exotics to basic cars will show, I hope they have more than one detail cop there...
I can honestly say as always... ALWAYS, we are more then ready for anything people want to bring to us for our events
Lots of great cars, interesting mix. My youngest son even went up for a ride in one of the copters. It was a good take. Recomeneded for next year for sure. - Ron
I wanted to congratulate the Cars & Copters Team for an incredible event. Bravo! I'm sure Pete is sleeping right now. He looked exhausted! Great meeting you Chris & Alex. The footage is great & I will come up w/ a great video for you guys. Again thanks for putting together a great event for a great cause. You guys are awesome! --Manolis www.ferrarichat.com rules!
I had a great time, well worth the 90 mile ride each way for me !! I was quite surprised at the crowd that was around my car whenever I looked over at it, seemed they appreciated what it is and were quited interested in it... Oh and nice to meet you darthnefas, thanks for flagging me down at the rotary...
Today's event was very well excuted overall. A huge turnout. The copter ride over Plymouth and out over the harbor was absolutely spectacular. I had the pleasure and honor of taking 11 year old terminally ill Ricky Hoffman for a nice ride in the Testarossa. With viable treatment options now all exhausted, if this tough little kid lives another couple of weeks that will be considered extraordinary. Really puts into perspective what we have and how much we take for granted in life.
to be completely honest I am not sure that it came. I was running around most of the day making sure everything was ok and didnt really get to see any cars. when I had a couple minutes of down time, I would take a quick break and gear up for the next rush. I dont remember seeing any trailers and I doubt it would drive all the way down from Vermont. I'll check my email when I get home and let you know.
Dave. Honestly. Your car is sick. One of like what 300 made with 400 hp (which is actually to the ground) and all the race options you can throw into it? The cage is sick as well. To actually see one in person is pretty impressive. For me, the 500hp NSX, the GT-Rs, the Ferraris, the Lamborghinis, the Cobra SVT. I felt like I was either in a video game or a concourse. Then the T-models drove in and I really wasn't sure where I was! lol Kenny. Good job.

Ron - Sorry I missed you. I thought I saw a set of Mondial Taillights rolling out of the show.... I was running around taking care of business - also shooting photos & video. Thanks for coming out to support St. Jude's!
