Our hearts go out to all of those and their families who were injured or killed in today's horrific bombing at the Boston Marathon. Hopefully, the folks in Washington will finally agree on something and take definitive action against those who commit these acts of terrorism against the United States.

I finished my marathon run a bit before this horror happened, met my family, and scooted out of town for some food. I am physically unaffected, but sad for what has gone down. In the four years I've run here, Boston has proven an open and friendly place filled with lovely people who treat me like family. From the crowds along the route to the great folks who make me home made pasta in the north end every year, this is one of the friendliest place I've been. I am sorry that such a horrible thing has happened in your town. As an ER nurse I have an idea what the hospitals are up against, and I wish them and your whole city the best. Stay strong, do not give up.

So sad, only 2 years ago I was enjoying my last marathon monday as a BU student, thinking it would definitely be one of the things I'd miss the most. This will end Marathon Monday as we know it - a great day where everyone in town was just up to have fun and cheer others on.

I hope no one here was hurt in this monstrosity, and that the *******s who were responsible get caught and dealt with.

My thoughts are with the victims and their families...

for many years my office was at 855 boylston st. patriots day was a big day for our office and we would all be partying pretty hard out infront of the office where the marathon finishes. this had me concerned for my ex associates. i called some to hear that they were all out front as i suspected and thankfully all my firends were ok. they did say, peter, this is really bad!

i wish only well for the healing of those who have been directly impacted. sad day.
