    Hi everybody,

I bought my 348 2 months ago and still have 2-3 months to got till spring. The car had a major service including belt changes and a new clutch in March 2012 so there is nothing to worry there. I am just curious if there are any recommendations what I could change/do to make my first/next driving season better... or the car more reliable.. or main target: technical improvements
There should be always a good ratio between costs and benefit. It is a 348 TS - 1992 with 80k kilometers on it

    Here is what I did:

-Sealed the ECUs with high temp. silicone
-removed all sticky plastics (interior) and treated them with PlastiDip (like new now!)
-replaced the air compressor and dryer since the old compressor was broken
-removed the bumper and fixed it, painted it new
    -replaced A/C and alternator belts
-replaced almost all interior bulbs to LED / "activated" check engine system
    -new brake pads (front)

What I am going to do:
    -Change oils(engine + gear/diff)
    -Flush and fill AC
    -Thinking about wheel spacers

    Thinking about but no idea:
    In general electrics?
    Any minor things on engine/ignition/etc?

    Thanks,

    Max

Congratulations on your new 348! :D

Even if the tread looks good, how old are the tyres? Nice new pliant rubber is usually a good idea in any car. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Good tires and maybe some rims depending on what is on it...Michelin Super sports or Continental Extreme contact DW for street driving imo. On my 355, I've run three different types of tires on my car - Dunlop SP sport 9000, Dunlop Direzza Z1* and the Continental DW - and they make a big difference to the experience of the car. The Direzzas are 2-3 seconds faster on an autox course than the Continentals but make the car ride like a dump truck on the street. The Continentals are good in the rain and are quiet and comfortable and I do not notice the grip difference on the street while the SP sport 9000's were in between the other 2 in ride comfort and the worst for grip, especially in cooler weather. Given that, I run the contis on my stock rims 90% of the time and the direzzas on challenge rims for autox/track.
