Sharp car, I like the color. Was going to get one myself, but got something else instead. Let us know if the Idrive drives you bad in a few weeks.

Hey, thanks for all the great comments,

I find the interior of the E90 to be much nicer than my E46, and on par with my MB E320 if not better

The color is Arctic, interior is black leather with burl walnut trim... I find the ride quality to be fantastic even with 19" wheels, and the handeling is super. I decided to NOT get Idrive just because it didn't offer me anything I couldn't do on my own... plus since its a manual I prefer not to spin the little idrive knob

if anyone is intrested in more photos by all means ask :)

right now I have close to 4000 miles with no problems... bought it in NJ, drove down to Orlando, FL and am now navigating traffic daily in Orlando without any hassle, gas mileage is real nice too :)

Best looking example I've seen yet! Those wheels really set it off.

I want to see the interior!

Good choice on BMW. It is the only Bangled car I like. The new 6, updated 7, and Z4 fall in the 'acceptable' range, but all still need work.

I'll have interior pics tomorrow then :)

Not sure about the Z4, it needs a lot of work in the looks dept. The 5 is the only new BWM, other then the 6, that I think looks pretty sharp. The color and wheels makes this one really stand out! Good job!

I got an 06 M45 sport, its a rocket, and the tech features are great. At least once a week my neighbor tries to race me in his 7 series, lol. On the other side of the same street, there is another all BMW family, and almost all of theirs are the darn light blue color (4 BMWs to just that one house). Plus half of them see a lot of service.

I had to do something different, but if not for the M, I would get a 5 just like above! Clean Machine.

Nice car, but you should have waited two months. The ///M-package for the 3er is coming out in early September along with the all-wheel drive version.

The ///M Pack is a new body kit, M suspension, M interior(optional), M steering wheel and special wheels.

I am thinking of picking me up one soon.

Only thing I'd take from that is the suspension, but I will be getting my suspension reworked anyways eventually so no biggie... main thing was I needed a car last minute for use in Florida, this turned out to be the best deal for $700 over invoice

Are those wheels the same as the ones included in the E46 M3 Competition Pack? Did you purchase them from BMW or aftermarket?

    I like the wheels.

But I think I'm just going to keep my E32 750 and bore the motor out to McLaren spec; 6.1litre. Should make 400+ easily enough.

    Pics please:).

I'm a huge fan of the M45 so I must say you picked a great time to try something different. IMO in the past the Infiniti/lexus/acura vehicles did not measure up to their european competition except in cost and reliability. But now cars like the M45 are beating out the "standard" for the sporty midsize segment 5series in such magazines as Motortrend! Did you test drive the 5 series and any problems with the M at all?

No problems with the M45 at all, just had my first service. Infiniti's don't seem to brake really, don't know anyone that has had a lot of issues.

Interiors are much better now, much more on par with BMW, but not Lexus in build quality yet. Lexus to me are very well made, but no fun, total isolation from a real driving experience, unlike BMW, or the new Infiniti’s.

I got the tech, navi and sport packages, as well as the aero kit. Features like the backup camera that shows where you are going to turn, and headlights that see around corners are great, not to mention Intelligent Key in your pocket, even when you want to open any of the doors, trunk or start the car. Best thing of all is the 4.5V8. Sounds great, moves even better.

This is a large car (larger then a 5series and pretty much anything else in the same class) yet will do the quarter in the 13s, with 60 in the VERY low 5s despite it being almost 2 tons.

The intelligent transmission is great in manual mode, and actually blips the throttle for you on downshifts like an F1 tranny. The handling is great, and I'm a sports car fenatic, so the rear adaptive steering does makes it feel much smaller and tighter then you would think for a car like this. Handling is super really, I've taken some turns at 70mph that would wipe out many lesser 2 seat sport cars. It also has lane departure warning, and bluetooth for your phone, and lots more tech stuff for your geek side.

I took it to a legal street racing type track at a private airport 2 weeks ago, and it beat all the import challengers including a 350z 6spd that called me out, lol. Wrong car for the muscle that was there though. I just went to experience WOT without getting another ticket :D Add 2 turbos, and even wider tires, and I think it would be the end all of all sport sedans, not just ones in its price range, which is a title it already has. Wish they had a super version like the M5.

If not for this car, I'd likely get the 545i, same color as above, no Idrive, 6spd and the sport packages.

Big Dog: As everyone mentioned, nice wheels! Looking good:).

Texferrari: Thanks for the post:) Here is a page with some interesting info and products on it (concerns the Q45 which shares your VK45DE motor): http://www.burtmanindustries.com/q45/q45_2.html . As you can see there you already have a stout motor which might enjoy a little forced induction:).
