Ok - On 12/24 I started my search and today I finalized the purchase of my '84 Euro 308 GTS Red/Tan, 37,000 miles. I looked hard at some really nice / almost perfect cars, but thats not my thing. This ones in good shape but needs some love.

(Milano 308 - I tried my best to control the red mist - I'm weak)

My plan is to pull the motor ( my role in that is writing the check) and refresh all the hoses, belts, rollers, ignition wires etc etc. As well as get the cosmetics top notch on the motor and engine bay. It runs great now and this is overkill, but my plan is to drive it often and hate wondering what might go.

From there the goal is to go through the rest of the car, taking it back as close to how it left the factory as possible ( most of that I'll do myself) .

For that I need a decent reference book, to get a sense of what should be there, what shouldn't be, and how it should look......Any Recommendations ?????

I will document the work and post it here with lots of pics as payment for asking lots of stupid questions.

    Thanks
    Jeff

Jeff, I believe I bought your orange cayman S sport a few years ago. I have a 84 euro QV GTB that you are welcome to come check out. It is very original and would be a good reference for you.

    Hey Zack

Yup - That was me / my limited edition cayman. I remember seeing your GTB as well. That's the one that got me thinking about a 308. I'll certainly take you up on your offer, your car would be a great reference.

    Thanks
    Jeff

Congratulations Jeff - I've had my Euro 308 GTS QV for 12 years and still love it - never had any unreliability issues.

This forum will be an enormous source of info in your quest to get it just right.

And lol at the college funds.

Mine's still at the shop, too, getting sorted - hopefully on the road this week.
