    Bought a '91 348 in mint condition yesterday from Steve Harris Imports in Salt Lake City. Car is in perfect condition and those guys took great care of me. I'll eventually post some pics.

    Congrats on the new car. I bought my 348 from Steve Harris in Nov 2006. They sell great cars and working with them was a pleasure.

    Congrats Andy. I too am looking for a cherry red/tan ts. Did you see any others I might be interested in. Could you email me with tips pointers for my search. I wasn't even aware of that car, maybe theres one for me that you passed on. What should I pay for one?

    Too cool. I was just there...snow skiing in Snowbird so flew in to SLC March 1 and out March 5.

    Sorry took a while to post again...paid $54K for it. Not sure if there's other examples out there that are this clean, but I haven't looked. I happened to stop in the dealership a day or two after my particular 348 arrived. There was a lot of interest in that car (heck, even to the day I took delivery of it, last Saturday) so I jumped on it. Here's my driving impressions of the 348:
    1. Best handling of any car I've driven (have owned three BMWs and looked heavily at getting a new Cayman).
    2. Engine is smooth. Shifting gears feels a little notty, but who cares.
    3. The seats are narrow and a bit uncomfortable, but the leg room is good (I'm 6'2").
    4. Gas mileage is better than I expected. Not sure what it is exactly, but I've been driving the car a lot since I picked it up and only a half a tank is gone.
    5. Instant celebrity status. Not kidding. People speed up or slow down to run parallel to my and snap camera-phone pics. Another time, I stopped into a C-Store and a guy in line said "Is that your Red Ferrari?" The entire store stared at me. I guess if I want to come down to earth, I'll drive my beater to work (97 Tahoe).

    BOTTOM LINE: Best car I've every owned. Look forward to my drive to work. Getting more use out of my bluetooth wireless headset since I can't hold my cell phone and drive this car

    I generally get around 20-22 mpg in mixed city and highway driving. Also, when my gauge indicates near empty it only takes about 17 gallons to fill it up so it still has about 8 gallons left (25 gallon tank). Glad you are enjoying it!
