After two almost three years here, watching, learning, lusting, my ferrari ownership dream has come true !!! I bought a 1985 Red/Tan 308GTS QV. Car is beautiful !!! Major just done,new clutch, hoses, fresh redye of seats, the baby is NICE ! Its ships on Dec. 27th should be here 5-7 days later. I'll have a TON of pics when it gets here don't worry !! I have a list of people that this never would have been possible without. If is wasn't for the knowlege or help of the people here at Fchat I could have made a huge financial mistake, but with the help of MANY people and lots and lots of reading and learning here my dream has come true. Thanks to all of FerrariChat but mainly, 1st. of all Rob, thats for this wonderful resource about these amazing cars ! 2nd. All I can say is, writing a check for your 1st Ferrari is so screaming " better than sex!" Just bought my 1st a few months ago And am amazed every morning waking up to know I have a Ferrari.

CONGRATS, CONGRATS!! I HOPE THAT YOU ENJOY IT! I GOT MINE IN SEPT. AND IT WAS A GREAT DAY AS IT WILL BE FOR YOU, THE DAY IT WAS DELIVERED. BUT MY BEST ADVISE TO YOU IS: TAKE THE CAR STRAIGHT TO THE MECHANIC OF YOUR CHOICE AND HAVE HIM ACTUALLY TOUCH AS MUCH AND CHECK EVERY BIT OF SERVICE RECORDS. I GOT A CALL FROM MY MECH. THIS AFTERNOON AND ASKED ME TO COME BY AND TAKE A LOOK AT SOMETHING. HERE IS WHAT THE RECORDS SAID AND THIS IS WHAT I SAW AND MORE IMPORTANT, "THE DAMAGE DUE TO A LESS THAN AVEGARE JOB. THE BELTS ARE OK BUT ONE (1-4 CYL) WAS NOT TENSIONED PROPERLY!!! SELLER WAS NOT AT FAULT, RECORDS SHOW THE WORK BUT ONLY A HONEST AND QUALIFIED MECH. WILL VERF. THE RECORDS. NICE RECORDS, BAD EXECUTION. PRICELESS !!!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! NICE SANTA!!!!

Congratulations! I think those of us who struggled a lot to afford a Ferrari in a way appreciate them the most. Lusting after it for a few years before getting it makes it all the sweeter. I got all choked up when my car arrived I was so happy. Your car is beautiful! Remember, drive it like you stole it! (And of course take care of it, but still, it's a Ferrari...she can take it.) Did you happen to buy it from Ron Tonkin GT? I notice that those pictures were taken in the parking lot of their repair facility. Been there a few times looking for parts for my Alfa GTV6.
