I had intentions of going, as my son had a soccer game in that area at 1pm and I planned out a day up there, but got a late start on the day. It is about 2.5 hours from where I live, and when 7am had hit and I was still at home I figured I would miss out on this one, and try for another day.
Mark and others, once again a real nice mix of people and cars... Things normally break up around 10. It's more of a early bird event. Highlights for me were the 9k orig kilometers BMW 2002 as seen in the pictures brought over from Italy, what a time capsule. Followed by that Lincoln Town Car with 811,000 miles on the clock, seeing it parked next to the 308 was funny. Next month is the day before the Big Cerebral Palsy Concour, so I hope to have a bigger number. See you then. Ferg
I wouldn't be surprised that with good weather and momentum you start to get tight in that section of Cino's parking lot next month.
It was a fun time indeed. I enjoyed seeing all of the cars, including the new Maserati GT, a tremendous number of Minis, a 1968 Peugeot, several Porsches, and the aforementioned Lincoln Continental and BMW 2002. It was my 308 that was parked next to the Continental. Like my car, it is silver with a red interior; I told the owner that he had to be careful not to drive the wrong car home! I'll be at the Automezzi next month - hope to see some of your Italian cars there - so I won't be present for the next event. Also looking forward to the CP Concours at Arapahoe Community College! ~Bradley PS I took a lot of great pix, but I have reached my limit for photo uploads on F-Chat.
Thanks, I'll check that out, and let everyone know when my pics are available. I have numerous other great car pics from various events, so I'll include as many of my original automotive photos as I can.
Okay, I think I muddled my way through Photobucket! Here are some photos from the event on Saturday: http://s280.photobucket.com/albums/kk185/racedriver308/?start=all I tried to avoid posting photos of people, in case they didn't what their picture on the 'net. If your car is not included and you wanted it included, let me know, and I'll get it up next time. If your car is included and you want to take credit for owning it, let me know which car is yours and I'll add a tag. (Sorry, I met so many people that I couldn't keep track of all the names and cars. ) If you want me to take a picture DOWN, I will do so if it's your car. Hope everyone's happy ~Bradley
Bradley, It was great to meet you and chat for a bit on Saturday. I probably left too early (just before 9 am) to see everyone, but some chores just can't wait. Thanks for the nice pic of my red toy--it's now set as the background on my laptop. best, ric
+1 See everyone there on Saturday morning. I posted it to my Porsche Breakfast Club, group. Hope we, "fill'er up", at Cino's Saturday morning. Cino's Coffee & News 2770 Dagny Way Ste 101 Lafayette, CO 80026 Phone: (303) 926-9565
Mark, Usually we don't have it during the 4th of July weekend. Maybe Michael can chime in and see if he wants to put in on this month??
If it's not on, I may come up for coffee anyway, it's a nice place to relax and have a cup of Joe.. Plus I can have a reason to take out the car... -Mark Ferg, what's the plan man?
Brought the 912 last month, and was planning on bringing the 328 Saturday. What's the scoop - are we on or off this month?
I won't be able to make it this time. One of the guys from my PBC has put together a drive from The El Rancho Rest. up by Evergreen, CO. to Estes Park for breakfast. I think he has planned to traverse the peak to peak hwy and then have breakfast at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. If anyone is interested we are meeting at 7:00am and then leaving promptly at 7:30am.
Yes, I was just on my way over here to bump the thread. My car is going to miss this one though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry to hear that I won't be seeing your Porsche! I probably will not be able to bring my 308 this time. (I found that I had a small oil leak in a very bad place, which has resulted in a well-lubricated timing belt. ) I'll be there, anyway, with an interesting but less-exotic car. Looking forward to seeing all of you! ~Bradley
Nothing much, just a motor out to fix some oil leaks, and I ended up doing much more, cleaned the chassis, replaced some items, new stainless headers, ect ect. I should be wrapping it up this weekend. Ferg
