Come on up Furman, see you there.
yes it was my son and daughter had games on Saturday in Ned and I figured great day for a cars and coffee visit then boulder canyon then peak to peak central city parkway loop drive...beautiful weather!
that was my motivation as well nice fall drive before the snow...maybe a squaw pass drive could be in order before the snow really hits?
The cars and coffee Lafayette was awesome lots of cool cars and a good crowd. My only observation to note was it seemed the BMWs were for the most part grouped together as well as the Porsches and to a lesser extent the British sports car contingent as well...the Ferraris seemed more scattered about.... it would be cool to get the Italian contingent more grouped together.....they were well represented ...some very nice cars.... but if we were all together it would make a cool pic
Ditto on the games. Older two on the big field and then my little one on the little field. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I didn't bring a jacket and that wind was cutting right through me. Can't complain about soccer weather this year though. I froze in Idaho Springs last season at an early morning game where the field was in the shade the whole time. I spotted your car as we were leaving. Nice color.
thanks for the compliment.... I had one on the littlest field and one on the middle field...I remember the I.S. game last year the frost never left the grass!...you are right we were lucky this year weather wise
I'm planning on taking the 360 down there. Hopefully there will be a few other exotics. Nice enough weather lately, there's no reason not to drive them.
Been about a year since this thread has been active. But Lafayette's Cars and Coffee is this Saturday 12-5. Seeing who was going to go, Lafayette has been amazing all year long. Weather looks good. Should be another great meet. -Brad
I plan to go. Bringing the 81 Lancia Zagato Spyder. (I am selling it to make room for my 1960 190SL coming out of full restoration soon). Great little car. If anyone knows of someone interested, please let me know. [email protected] Image Unavailable, Please Login
at 12 degrees this AM and after potential hangovers from New Years, I am guessing most folks will make their own coffee or hit DD and look forward to next month. Happy New Year everyone.
Hey John, Happy New Year! It's a balmy 17 degrees at my house, and inside a very comfortable 70 degrees...where I'll spend the morning looking at cars on the entire net! ;-)
The good news is that they have 450 or so parking spaces at Hagerty. No more cars parked on the street a quarter mile away, or cars parked on a dirt field when we got to 120 or so cars.
My question is how and why does Hagerty get to make this decision? I didn't think anyone owned the C&C. I know that I go because I want to, not because Hagerty or any coordinator directs me to a location. Did the Atlas Valley shopping center say "no more"?
Yes, Atlas Valley said 'no more'. Period. We are done. Now. Hagerty isn't 'making this decision'... they have offered their venue in lieu of. They would like to do it. And are. It will be there every month. You can go, or not. It's generally a fairly central location in Colorado, easier for some, farther for others (including Mike). So, maybe fewer cars from Northern CO and more from the South. Mike has looked for other places for a long time without luck. Hope to see you there.
Any of you guys going on Saturday? It looks like the weather will be nice. I'm planning on being there and if I make it will be my first Boulder/Lafayette Cars and Coffee, only it's in Golden. -F
