They will let you use helmet at no extra cost. I will send something out to our contact list and see if we can get a few more cars to come down to the Cars and Coffee! Mike B
Bradley, I used to run it every tuesday and thursday. If you are running clockwise with the rental karts you should be able to hold the throttle to the floor through the entire front sector of the track. That would be from the top right hand corner of the picture, all the way along the bottom of the photo, all the way into the entry into the lower chicane which is the top left hand side of the picture. Anyway, I may join you guys if I can get a few errands done first... Jim and Ed are great guys, they run the track down there and used to help us with driving technique all the time... I'll have to forgo cars and coffee in pursuit of my other vice: The Denver International Wine Festival is this Saturday (google if you're interested). I trust you'll take some sweet photos. Please post. Maybe next month if it's nice. The CSL will be done by then. If not, we can make it an all-AWD meet (Gallardos, R8s, C4s, Phaeton... and of course your Subie). Happy motoring.
If any of you read this before the event ask around and see if there is any interest in getting together to watch the race tomorrow. Not sure where people will be meeting (CB&Potts?) but the more the merrier. -F
It's looking like we have enough interest. I understand denver proper got it worse than up north. We had a little gravel dropped but most is off the roads by now. I understand if no one show up in their F cars, but come and chat anyhow. Ferg
I'm happy to see the car stayed local. Don't know if I'll make it down, but hopefully someone will post pix.
I had the Mondial t cab out both yesterday and today, snow and all. Had to....was having some work done on the exhaust. So, its a bit dirty already, and I will give it a go in the morning... roads are just wet right now, and only stones on the bridges and exits from what I see. LETS DO IT ! John
Two small groups today....and early "crowd" (five or so) and then a 9 - 10am gathering of 4-5. We ended up waiting til about 10:15 Pedro, and then drove to a local shop featuring some really cool vintage restorations in Boulder. (Allard, Jaguar C-Type, Ferrari 330 GT, HGR or HRG....). Very nice of Nick Sorenson to show us around. Plus, not too bad a day for a drive. John
Sorry I missed you guys. I got a late start to my morning; rolled through there maybe a bit after 10:30 on my way to Boulder. Still a fun day for a drive with the top down. The vintage resto thing sounded very cool. My buddy manages Classic Resto in south Denver. I don't know what he has in the house currently (in the past they did a 250 PF Cab, 330 GTC, Maserati Mistral...) but it's a nice shop and might be fun for a future tour there too. I'll check with Doug and see if there's anything worth seeing and post back. Hopefully these fair-weather first Saturdays will continue and January will work out.
I plan to drive over about 8AM. Anyone else going? Weather is supposed to be nice, so whats stopping us. Lets keep this monthly get together going.
