    I just finished a great bottle of Old Rip van Winkle that I drank neat and am ready to move on to something different. Was curious if anyone has some good bourbon drink recipes that they enjoy and would be willing to share?

    Not to my palate. I've tried sweeter bourbons this way but I always return to KC because its flavor cuts right through. (The same thing happens when I make bourbon creme anglaise for fruit flavored bread puddings (raspberry, fig, pair, etc.) The KC delivers a nice bourbon flavor, whereas other brands I've tried come up short(er).)

    I had this drink @Pabu in Four Seasons Baltimore. I thought it was fantastic:

    the American Mammoth Jack made with Bulleit bourbon, peach shrub, Hitachino ginger beer, local honey

    That sounds freakin delicious. How did they add in the honey? Just put in cold or warmed up and poured in?

    It was warmed up and drizzled into the drink. The drink had an overall subtle sweetness and was not sugary at all.
