    Can confirm. Same issue on my car. Annoyed me until I tried this and it now works every time.

    Guys if my 458 doesn’t have factory enabled iPod can it be retrofitted or do I have to replace the factory amp with the navigation amp?

    I have a Galaxy S8 and every time I get in the car to start a new day I simply reconnect to the Bovee and it works all day even when I get out of the car and return. If I go to the radio then I simply need to turn off the bluetooth, turn it back on and reconnect. It takes a few seconds.

    So I have tested every solution on here in my F430 (with OEM Becker) and here’s what I’ve found:

    1. Cheap 30p to lightening adapter will turn iPhone X into an iPod, but it is unstable and drops frequently not to mention your phone has to stay in the glove box.

    2. The Apple 30 pin to Lightening adaptor works flawlessly in converting the iPhone X into an iPod.

    3. The B1000 does not work in the F430. The iPhone X can pair with the B1000 without issue, but the head unit can not ‘see’ the incoming single and registers as no iPod connected.

    Solutions:

    1. Enjoy AM/FM?
    2. Breakout your CD collection
    3. Use an iPod
    4. Give up your iPhone for tunes
    5. Listen to the orchestra behind you
    6. Replace your audio system

    Not sure if I can convince myself to lose the factory head unit...as ****ty as it is, some guy in Italy installed it just for me :)

    on my 2012 FF i can select my phone as a device via bluetooth, alleviating the need for the bovee. Cldnt you have done the same on a 2012 458?

    No, the 458 system does not stream music over Bluetooth. The speciale does.

    The Speicale does? Can you explain how it works pls? I have a 14 Specials that I've been trying to stream music over Bluetooth, but couldn't figure it out.

    Sorry somehow I missed this. I don’t have a Speciale. I said that because I read it in the Owner manual that came incorrectly with my Italia... I’ve since swapped for a correct set of manuals...
