Howdy folks Have been around the Fcar scene only a few years and has been special in it's own way. I am seriously considering dropping out and going back to a full retirement of world travels and adventure. Never thought I would like cars again other then on a "work level" and I was correct but had to give it a last try. Anyway not set in stone yet my final decision will be in a couple months. F cars for possible sale will include 1994 ts challenge, 1 of 13 made in yellow 1995 f355 challenge, gator gregs 2013 champ car 1997 f355 yellow spider Just wanted to put this out there if anyone will be in the market Please don't pm me asking how much I will not respond to them. when it's time they will all be listed. Would not miss it at any cost, the absolute highlight of my time with this group and possibly the best group time i ever had except maybe that club back in NYC in the 80's
I'm really bummed out right now. I hope you'll still be active on the forum. You're one of a few who's opinions, insight, and skills I look forward to reading about everyday on here. -Rick
Give it some time. Do you know how many times I have said that I am done with cars? Ye, right. 6 months later the bug gets me again. The only way to really get out and leave is thru rehab/detox, ye, the one they do with people who have issues with the powder. I don't see Tim going there anytime soon. As soon as you see one or two countries you will be back. Mark my words, you will be back
Didn't you just buy the 348 CH? Too many yellow 348's around this area anyhow (just us I think). All the best...
Steve you know me I have owned them all, if I come back it would be with an electric or other alternative vehicle Yeah I was thinking a year or so in Italy to learn how to make prosciutto and parma cheese riding a ducati werks bike around. I just remember my talks with Tom Meade way back about how he missed doing the things he wanted because the cars and industry consumed him. I don't want to be consumed I want to consume
Tim, say it ain't so! Even if it is, what could be better in retirement than having at least one F-car to drive around? Maybe no more racing and let the Challenge cars go and keep the '97 355 for the drives up the coast and to have something to tinker with. I'm often thinking about making a change in either work or location but until I am no longer able to drive, I'd like to keep an F-car of some sort in the stable. That 355 Challenge sure looks sweet!
It's been a pleasure reading your posts and comments for the short time I have been associated with the site. Your doing what makes ya happy! No one can fault that! If you decide to follow through with your plans, please drop by with some sweet recipes! Best of luck either way!
A full retirement of world travels and adventures would be the way I'd go out. I'd keep at least one and that would be the challenge car. I wish you the best with whatever decision you make.
I like to hear what Tim is up to and was looking forward to getting our two challenge cars together on the track. I like his choice in cars obviously... Traveling the globe with a camera sounds like a relaxing time whether on a Hog, duck, F-car, or RV. I'm sure he will be around quite a bit regardless. Enjoy your adventures Tim. Robb
Tim, don't do it. But if you really must, hang onto the one favorite car of the group. Good luck with your decision.
Tim, People in Gobbles thread were just the last straw for me. I'm thinking I want no part of owning a 355. But I would consider gator's 355C. Know that it will live out its life battling on the track if I ever own it. Let me know if you pull that ripcord. But before you do please get on track with Bruce, vince, and me in Ferraris and if that fun does not excite you then it is time to go. We could even bring your 348c and 355c and run them both. I have a trailer to get 1 car to the track. If you don't have fun I will pay your track fee.
Nothing to do at all with this place. I can handle the internet. I know most folks here are great for the most part. Folks get home from a hard day and need to blow off steam, sometimes it;s better to do it online then beat up your ol lady, in my case she can kick my ass and she carry's heat. I've been guilty of it myself even if I just say it to myself instead of writing it in a post. Yeah were going to need a track day, I am like totally consumed for like the next month.
