Boxer Aspera compressor help needed?

This seems to be the same compressor as in old 308 models (Aspera Frigo 700AP). As a replacement, CCI ER206R (and with larger displacement, ER210R) should fit.

The Aspera compressors were license built in Italy from York. It's a York compressor with an Aspera badge, nothing more. (at least on the 308).

There is a good article on the 'other' site about resealing a unit by...Carl ?? but he later messaged me that it leaked again anyway and he would not recommend resealing the unit.

Try to find a local AC shop that specializes in only the parts. They may be able to help you out, or even rebuild the unit (but again, the guy who did it later said it was a bad idea).

I retro'd mine to a 7-stage Saden rotary b/c I accidentally banged it against the timing belt cover and blew out the seal. So I have an entire unit, but the seals are bad (and I suspect the pully shaft is bent as well).

The York unit is actually a dual stage piston type unit used in trucks and you can find a replacement at Napa for ~$500. You should also be able to swap the clutch out and put the OEM pully back on it.

I'll go look in my garage and see what my unit model number is b/c I think the 308 and boxer are the same things.

Find a good local AC only type of parts/service shop and have them to the rebuild. Install the unit and get it recharged.
