    Hello, looking for someone with a tubi on a bbi, wondering how it sounds and if anyone has one for sale? I have a 83, wanting somethin to toss on it durning the winter here in chicago..

    As posted before, I heard a BB512i the other day that had the stock four can Ansa exhaust replaced with two cherry bomb type glass packs. It sounded AWESOME...much better than Boxers I have heard before with Tubis as well as my own Boxer with a two can Ansa Sports exhaust. Before you spend the $5k for a Tubi, try the $40 cherry bombs and see if you like it. If you do, you have saved $4800+ and have a better sounding car. If you don't, buy the Tubi and you have only spent an extra $40 or so.

    Try www.stainless-exhaust.com in the UK for a better sounding exhaust for half the money. You'll gain the usual extra brake horse power etc. Apparently a lot of the Ferrari UK members use these exhausts. Plus u can tell them to tailor the sound to ur tase i.e. bassy or high pitched. Mine will be ready for my 512TR soon. I ordered a bassy exhaust system with 3" tailpipes. I'll see if I can post a sample when I get it. Tubi is OK for certain models but I find that it sounds a bit hollow and I can hear a metal reverberation. Almost as if the steel used on the Tubi is very thin. Go to www.scuderiasystems.com and check the Tubi exhaust clips, they have one for the 512BBi with the cats off.
