I'm looking at injected Boxers and have a few questions ---

    1) Is the tachometer signal driven off the ECU (DinoPlex) module, or is there some separate sending unit?

    2) If the speedometer is the "world" version (displays speed in both MPH and KPH), what units are the diplayed for mileage --- kilometers or miles?

    3) Any suggestions as to what to look for / what to look out for on these cars?

    1) I believe it's driven off of an impulse generator.

    2) Kms.

    3) As I recall, there weren't many overall problems with the injected models. Make sure the service records are in order.

What year is it and where is it located?

Someone here may know the car.

The car is an '84, all red (no Boxer trim) exterior, black interior --- located in Denver, Colorado.

    Anyone know it?

I would be careful about buying a 7,000,000 mile Boxer. Could be approaching need for a top end re-build... ;-)
