The day I picked up my car, it snowed. Talk about feeling overpowered! :)

Many years ago I bought an 84 512BBi in Pittsburg an drove it home to Boston. They are just cars and can be driven anywhere. It poured rain during part of that trip, but when it was not raining I managed over 170mph briefly on a NY Interstate. Loved that car.

so you hade been lucky that no officer stoped you - or have you been always so much faster that they could catch you? :) :)

but the BB is good for speed between 50 km/h and 260 km/h. I mostly like to drive mine between those 50 km/h and about 200 km/h on curvy roads. this is sooo much fun :D
but I never get in heavy rain with my BB

I wasn't nervous about the high speed because the car was stable, but I was very nervous about being caught and fined so it was a brief run to the top. You may be able to out run a police car but you can't out run their radio!

if you know the frequency you can use a scammer :)
or just invite the officer to go on a drive with you and your car :)

I never avoided the rain but never got caught in it. As a result I never even tried my wipers, found out recently that the switch was bad.

I was scared to try mine as it never rains here and I was afraid it might scratch the windshield with the wiper arm....so I drove with limited visibility laughing to myself about how absurd and paranoid we all are about everything a Porsche owner takes for granted.....I took my cell phone and took a shot of how bad the visibility was....but not a thought about that....just focused on the cost of a scratched windshield!
I cant seem to upload the photo.....Ill work on it.
