How often should one start ones Boxer in the winter (beginning Nov to Mid April here) assuming it is not driven on the roads (salt) to keep it happy. Is there any particular best procedure ie let run for 10 mins etc ? Any opinions.

I drive my BB512i much more in the winter than in the summer...at least 3-4 times a month. Of course here in the South we have very little snow to contend with...just a lot of clear ~45 degree days of cool dense air to feed the old Fiat flat-12...

I start my boxer at least once a month and while its not running I flick the battery disconnect so the battery will have something to offer when I want it to start. Aside from fuel stabilizer and once a month running it I add pressure to the tires and I move it the car to a new position on the tires until the next month then move it again. I run the car until no steam is present from the exhaust. Takes around half an hour of running to do this that way the muffler cans are free of water.
