I think he has mentioned before (in another thread) that he just buys and later sells (of course, for profit). No issue/problem was mentioned to my recollection. The car looks like one of the best around...but $135K?

I found an original owner 512 bbi 84....Similar to mine, it is in a collection, of its original owner...It has less than 1000 miles by orig owner...I want it...I have listed mine with the hope of selling plan A to get plan B.If not I hope to afford Both within a few months.
BTW.If you read collector car market, there is a graph of boxer prices over the last 20 years. It shows the all time low about 4 months ago, and the beginning of a decent incline the 1st quarter of 04'. As I have previously predicted, No Excuse Boxers and Daytona's are about to go through Roof..
    Fasten your seatbelts!

I hope you're correct, but I doubt it. Ferrari made too many of the BB512 and BB512i models for them ever to be real collector cars. Especially with tgheir checkered a/k/a losing racing history. I love my little Fiat, but will not hold my breath for them to ever appreciate much over the inflation rate per year. 365GT4/BBs are a different story as they are much rarer and may appreciate a little faster than the inflation rate. Just MHO.

As with all collectables.....condition, condition, condition.

couple of months ago, saw a 365 daytona in autoweek for 85g's
past week saw a fine daytona auction at $170,000.
    HELLLLOOO.
A 95 point car will always lead the Pack.
I only deal in 95+ point cars.
I will Bring this post back to Remind you it happened, because it will.
It has to, the american muscle car surge will bring the rest of the market with it.

    optomistic.

A Daytona is MUCH different that a Boxer though. Daytonas are much rarer and had a winning racing history.

    Enzo can only die once.

The 20 year low can merely be "just a point" on the continuing downward depreciation curve.

There's a lady here in Houston that's waiting to sell her dead husband's Boxer.

Until the market hits $250K, her old man's dying words.

Man, we get tired of pushing this thing around the shop!

I think we'll be reading her headstone, too, before that happens!

    Point well made Mr. Parker.

But like WW2 vets, the number of people who remember them is dwindling!

If You all think that the great boom in collector cars was attributed to Enzo,s death, you are Foolishly mistaken.I lived and prosperred through the car boom in 88,89 and part of 90. The Boom was attributable to one person, That was Ronald Reagen. Yes!, Confidence in the economy was the reason for people looking to put money into other areas of safe haven. If you remember, maseratis, lamborghinis, bizarrinis,Jags and even american supercars were up, way up.Enzo had nothing to do with those brands, it was sheer coincidence. the boom was about muscle flexing american wallets. Mark my words its about to happen again. All the indicators are present. The boom started well before the general public even knew that Enzo was dead or alive. If my recollection serves me right it was midwest auctioneers that started the hype by advertising 365 daytona convertibles at $400-500,000. and then stating they were sold at those #'s.Thats how the ball got started. Well take a look at whats going on at Barret Jackson these days. These Auctioneers are the precursors to richs in the marketplace....Money is pressing on the wallets of investors, it just cant figure out where to go, a bye product of the peripheral edges of those investors has to be the collector car market.

Of Course these statements all go to H*ll if The Terrorists drop the bomb on Times Square!

If you have the cash, BUY NOW! RIGHT NOW!

I think you're wrong on that. American muscle is where the money's GOING.
It is LEAVING the Ferrari market.

There was a 328 at BJ MIami that could barely hit $30K.

I Dont think you Get It. Currently a 328 is NOT collectable. for the most part a model that is over 25 to 30 years old, Qualifies as collectable.

Never mind, Dont say I didnt tell all of you so.

    I hope you're correct actually.

I too hope he is correct. But, as an old sage once said, "...while valuable cars are always rare, rare cars are not always valuable..." In that they made over 2,000 BB512 and BB512i cars, they are not even rare. If you let your Boxer just sit without enjoying the smiles per mile you can get from her, you are wasting your time and money on the car IMHO.
