I used my Boxer luggage on my recent trip to the FFQC. It carried a good bit of my wife and my clothing, but we did have to carry two soft bags too and cram them in to get everything in the car we needed for 4 days and 3 nights with a tux and evening dress in the mix. The cream colored interior on mine is starting to flack off a little and I plan to take it to a leather shop and see if they can re-finish the luggage interior. All in all, the lugagge does make travelling with the Boxer much easier.

    LOL!

The Tux WAS the major challenge.......I had to put it behind my 308GTB seats and loose the leg room...helments are a real pain, too, if you are not WEARING them....we shipped them home after the Track Day.

I have no idea where Valeria put her formal......

LOL! V. had a touch of the flu, and was off her normal shopping form........

She did insist I repack before starting home...too many posters and caps!!!

We'll bring BOTH 308GTBs next year, for the extra room!

I was cautioned, early on, the TR had more room for a Beer Cooler........
Mr. Sid Simpson of FoH offered that advice........

    Thanks Robert!

Was this a one color only deal or were there different leather colors available?
And the $100,000 question where did you guys get your sets?

Anybody no longer wearing their tux and want to get rid of their luggage?

The only color is tan on most vehicle sets although I have read mention here of black, to match a car with black interior...

The easiest way is pay full retail at the Factory website.....have you registered your car ownership there?

In my case the 4 pc. set for the 308/328GTB would be 4,100 Euro.
Which of course gets more expensive by the day!

Other than that it's ebay or the FCA or FOC Newsletters, an ad to buy or sell there would get results....lots of sets seem to be split off from the car as they get older.......

    Robert and Franklin,
Did the 512bbi luggage set consist of just these two items (see picture).
I've located what I think is a 512bbi set but it has a few more pieces to it.

    Murph,

The set pictured is the complete set for Boxers, just the garment bag and the rectangular case. In keeping with the practice back in the day, the older sets do not have the model name or number stamped on them like "Testarossa" or "512M" sets did. I actually purchased the set in the picture you posted. I have also just acquired part of an older, used set consisting of two pieces; a garment bag and a 24" suitcase. My intention is to restore them as they show some wear. I will let you know when I am done, perhaps you might be interested in the garment bag, it is the same dimension as the Boxer set, without the extra front pocket. I will keep you posted.

JOEL D. My Boxer luggage has the BB512i logo embossed in the leather on both pieces. And Murph, I found mine by placing "Boxer Luggage Wanted" ads in the FML and FCA Newsletter and got numerous responses. I ended up paying $1k for a perfect set with the cloth covers. In fact, they still had wadded Italian newspaper in them from June 1982. That's how I found the lugagge for my 328, TR and 348 Spider as well. I recall the most expensive set I bought was the 5 piece set for my TR and it cost me $1500 .
