I have a friend coming over tommorow with a 84 Boxer. He was asking my advice on what are the correct marker lights. I know that there is probably a Euro and US federalized set-ups with more than one variation. I was hoping that any of you Boxer owners would post some pics of your cars marker lights and I will show them to him. I am also trying to get him "online", so i was hoping the response would answer his question and impress him what a impressive group we online Ferrari nuts are!

The Euro ones were little round "buttons" like the Euro 308s and I think they were just on the front fenders, not rear.

From the factory Boxers had no side markers, just a small repeater circle on the front hood that works with the turn signal.

Federalized Boxers have big markers mounted in the upper bodywork and lower glass panels.

Thanks guys he was really impressed hope he will join up. Actually he had bought a set of front indicator lights Altissimo for 700$ Ouch and that is what he was talking about. All you posts were cool though and we looked at all. I think the boxer is one of the most beautiful Ferrari designs ever made. My only dislike is the plastic like dash board. Like the Lusso with the strange Speedo placement it seems outt of place with the rest of the car. say what you will about the gt4 the dash has this aircraft bussiness like look to it that make me feel right at home.

    Rob
Who would by a boxer if he could afford one no matter what his personal concerns were over the dash! :p

here is aa pic of his car he is going to remove the rubber strip in front and replace the indicator lights

The Boxer did not come with those ugly front and rear rectangular marker lights. All Boxers left the factory with only the round orange lights on the front wings just behind the front tire. Good DOT conversion companies mounted the rectangular USA lights in the lower fiberglass so they could easily be removed and the holes could be easily repaired and repainted . Conversion companies that just didn't care cut holes in the upper aluminum panels which makes it much more difficult to repair for repainting after you remove the ugly things. But, if you really want to add the ugly things to your Boxer, since they were never OEM, just order some from JC Whitney or Pep Boys or where ever.

Think you meant to say ahead of front tires....Those little wings between the wheel arch and bonnets end are a typical place to mount euro side markers, however I do not believe they were ever mounted there!

    Rob,

Who's Boxer is that? I know it's not Will's. I've got a pair of the round "buttons" if he is looking for those.
