Just a guess but it looks like someone took the 9" rears and put them on the front and then bought something like a 10 or 11" for the rears. My guess would be aftermarket but a guess is all it is.

BBLM wheels with the required flares for a street version boxer. My car had them at one point, mine were held on with a sort of double faced tape and were removed prior to my purchasing the car (didnt hurt the paint), it also had the BBLM wheels like those.

What width do you think the rears are?

11 or 12", seeing that pic makes me wish I had the rims and extensions as part of the deal since it isnt a permanent mod.

Are the wheels & flares hard to get?

I"m in the hunt for a BBi & would like to add them if I could find them.

Its only money, the rims from my car were pre-sold, went like hot cakes but unsure of the cost. You can get them, just open your wallet wide.

I agree. I need to get the car first, & sell both my cars. The wife tax would be very high if I kept the other two.

She said "I don't care what you get, just get one" She hates seeing 2 cars in the garage.

I have seen this very car on some occasions in Europe, the owner drives it a lot. From memory I believe the rear tires were 345s. VERY wide!

Well, my car came through Steve Mamman in montreal to Autoforum in toronto. Both excellent to deal with by the way. I would contact Steve first since he is the one that sold the rims from my car. Im sure he would connect you to some or perhaps forzamot.

Does this setup, while sexy to look at, beg the question of stress on the differential carrier? We have heard (fortunately for me, not experienced) horror stories of self-destructing casings and carriers. Is this setup merely asking for trouble?

I have to wonder how those flares and wheels would look on my lowered BBi.

interesting he went to 15" wheels on a BBi, they look about 12" wide.

Car looks like a Konig conversion

It is a 1983 BBi #45735, The rear wheel arch extensions were created by Koenig and are said to be easily removable, (I do not know if this is correct or not)....The car is still in Germany.

He even does a carbon fibre "competition" briefcase circa euro 2K

Presumably that gets you out of the office ahead of the crowd and gives you more time to play with your toys.
