    Does anyone know the size of the OEM wires for a BB512i? I'm trying to decide whether I need 7mm. 8mm or 8.5mm wires for my new MSD ignition.

    I note at www.italiancarparts.com it indicates that stock BB512i plug wires are 7mm. Does anyone know if that is correct?

    Check the ftalk archives, David F had an issue with new OEM wires with his MSD, he changed to Magnecore 8.5mm race wires and it solved his problem.

    I believe OEM are 7mm.

    I know I need to buy new wires to go with my new MSD unit, but I want to buy black ones that will fit the stock ends so I can keep my car looking as original as possible. That narrows done my options as most HP wires are red instead of black . And, I'm afraid that if the OEM wires are only 7mm, that 8mm or 8.5mm wires will be too big to fit the stock ends?

    perhaps Taylor 8mm wires from Summit racing will help. i believe they are available in various colors . i *think* you can get them in 7mm also.

    Why do have to replace the plug wires anyway? Can you just keep the stock wires?
